Globus Maintenance Downtime on October 24
Globus has planned a maintenance downtime! Globus services will be down starting at 7:30 AM (US/Pacific time) on Saturday, October 24. Globus services will be down for up to one hour.
You can read the full details of what’s affected on Globus’ blog post. From our perspective, here is what the downtime means:
-
All transfers will be paused at the start of the downtime. This includes transfers to or from Stanford, the cloud, or your laptop.
-
The Globus web site will be unavailable, so you won’t be able to start new transfers or do things like directory listings.
-
The Globus CLI will stop working during the downtime.
-
Programs which Globus will not work. For example, elm-archive will not be able to start new transfers during the downtime. You should avoid launching new elm-archive runs until after the downtime.
-
Websites which use Globus might not work. For example, the Stanford Digital Repository self-deposit site may not work properly.
If you experience problems after the downtime is complete, please let Globus Support know. You can email Globus support at support@globus.org.
