Transfers happen unattended, data verification is on by default, and on-the-wire encryption is available.

Globus is a platform for high-speed data transfer. If you have Low or Moderate Risk data, you can use Globus to share it with people in Stanford, with collaborators at other institutions, or with the general public.

Who Pays for This?

This service is paid for by University IT, Stanford University Libraries, and the Genetics Bioinformatics Service Center in the School of Medicine. It is administered by the Stanford Research Computing Center. There are some conditions on who can use the service, and the type of data which can be transferred using Globus.
